2020: The Hangover

Does 2020 feel like a bad hangover to anybody else? Well, it's time to finally tuck that year behind us and welcome the start of a new year. We have been incredibly fortunate to have our health, so in no way am I complaining about having a rough year. I know others were not as fortunate as we were, and my heart goes out to all of you.
There were many highlights in the year 2020, and oddly enough, travel was one of them. We embarked on the Great American Road Trip, something that my husband and I have never done together. You never realize how large the United States is until you drive it. The whole time I kept thinking to myself, 'we would literally be halfway through Italy by now' when we were actually still going through the same state as we were 8 hours ago!
To keep with the upbeat vibe of 2021, I will share our Great American Road Trip with you; the good, the bad, and the ugly...I don't think there were many ugly, though! Travel has become a massive part of our lives, and when a global pandemic hits, you have to think outside the box. We must still respect the state (and country) laws and wear your mask where needed. While this might be the "new norm" for a while, it doesn't mean we have to seclude ourselves in our houses 24/7. Again, I can't stress the "BE SAFE and RESPECTFUL" rules enough.
With that said, let's hit the road!
